Family Day at Twin Falls Temple

We had such an amazing Easter weekend. We started off on Friday, by going to the Twin Falls Temple. I had got some family names and Talise and her cousins (Sam,Jordan, Terex, Tyler) and Aunt Krista did baptisms. What a sweet treat that was. Then after taking Josh to temple the rest of the family who could joined us for dinner and it was Aunt Sue's birthday. Such a wonderful gift!!

26 years ago today we celebrated a forever union as Brett and Marci were sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple for time and all eternity! We have always just been great friends. We strive hard to do what is right and help each other progress in the way our Heavenly Father would want us to do. The blessing of the temple being a priority in our lives, has and will continue to be a gift that strengthens and uplifts our marriage. Looking back, we thought that day of marriage couldn't get any better, but it has and we thought we were in LOVE back then. ha ha ha. That love only gets stronger and more endearing! We are both so thankful to our Heavenly Father for guiding us to each other, and then blessing us with three amazing children.

Missionary Fitting

A big Thank you to Peterson's Clothing where we had an after hours appointment at 8:30 p.m. until 11 p.m., Due to his crazy baseball and school schedule there was no way he could get in during open hours, to get fit for his missionary clothing. Josh has been very patient, considering that the suit he has been wearing was since he was 16. He's grown a bit since, but has patiently waited until his mission call. So fun!!! He loves ties and I do believe that was his favorite part of the shopping experience. He had fun being a goof and modeling for us. We came home with 4 great big bags of stuff. The next day, he came home laid out all of his ties and is going to start off his mission with 33 ties. (see he loves ties!!

Spring Break Logan MakeOver

Talise and Marci went and painted Brenden's front room in his apartment. It made such a difference. We tried a few colors, but they all seemed kinda girley. So we finally picked these. It looks great!! We saw Brenden occasionally as he had school and work, but we enjoyed ourselves!

Josh gets Mission Call

Well after a long time of waiting for the mission papers to leave Idaho, The news was that his call had been given. So all week, I anxiously went to the mailbox daily. The mail usually comes around 3pm. Not this week. One day it was 2, then 2:30. I became so confused, wondering if I checked the mail from the day before, or if I was a day behind. Finally Friday, came and I sat in my office with the window open. I saw the mailman. He's holding a big white envelope. I have to maintain self-discipline and not appear to anxious to get the mail. I ever so casually walk out the door and say hello to the mailman. I get the mail, and then run into the house. Yipee it's here! So now what. I take a picture to text to Josh and Dad and bro and sis. Now we hurry up and wait, and wait and wait. Josh had a double header last night. Talise went to a party. Brenden ended up being in the championship of a mechanical bull riding competition. So finally at 11:30 p.m. we got together and he opened it.

A Day of Reflection!!

Today, is Brenden's birthday. Brett and I were remembering that blessed day. I remembered dreaming we were at a dinner with Brett's family and my water broke. I then woke up and expressed to Brett, "something feels weird!" I got out of bed, and a big gush and splash. My water did break, fortunately, I wasn't at dinner. Then our new car, that Brett was bragging about how good it was wouldn't start so we could get to the hospital. So he had to literally lift me to get into his dad's truck. We can't decide if it was the brown one or the blue one (I'm going for brown!)lol. 4 1/2 hours later we had a healthy baby boy! It was a cold and snowy day. For his blessing, his grandparents, great grandparents and 1 Great Great Grandma made the journey in the snow and terrible roads. Since we have pictures of this, I'm so grateful for their love and support. Brenden had 12 Grandparents when he was born. Today, he has his grandparents from both sides and one great grandfather. He is 22! which is how old I was when I had him. We are so thankful for our Brenden, who being the oldest has been a great example. He is so kind, thoughtful, caring, and loving. He loves to work hard. He is currently attending Utah State University (Brett and Marci ala mater!!) So grateful Brenden you came to be with us. We love you!!!
