Elder Hatfield turns the big "20"

Well it was a sad day for Marci, as she had to have a quiet day of celebration for Brenden. A chocolate cake was made and we even sang at the dinner table, "Happy Birthday, To Brenden."

His present was sent a couple of weeks ago, He got "TIES!!" and a portable exercise pull up bar. And pictures from Christmas, a box of cake mix and frosting.

We're hoping that someone helped him celebrate HIS day.

We did receive a phone call from the Bishop's wife from where he served the last six months. She said, that she had never called a missionary's parent before, but wanted us to know how impressed she was with our missionary. How respectful he was of women, and motherhood. How he out of six missionaries, was the only one who at Thanksgiving rolled up his sleeves and washed dishes, for what seemed hours. She said, that he was saddened by no baptisms in this area for the past six months, but wanted him to know that seeds had been planted, and their ward/stake was shriveling, but he has helped bring life and excitement of the gospel. He did a marvelous job!"

So with that, our quiet celebration is that of peace and joy!!!
